Hydrolyzed Silk is silk protein that has been broken down into smaller pieces so it can be used more easily in skincare and haircare formulas. In products, it helps create a smooth, silky feel and can make formulas feel more elegant on the skin or hair.
For skin, hydrolyzed silk is mainly used as a conditioning and moisture-supporting ingredient. It can help reduce the feeling of dryness, improve softness, and leave a subtle smoothing effect. In haircare, it may help hair feel more manageable, look shinier, and feel less rough, especially in leave-in treatments, conditioners, and styling products.
